I learned to play the guitar in the early 60's, listening to surf music and flat-picking folk music. I played bass and electric guitar in bands in San Diego during the late 60's, 70's and early 80's. I moved up to Los Angeles in 1982 and spent most of the next 25 years accompanying my sister playing acoustic guitar and recording oddball things, novelty songs and such. I got the bug to start playing in a band again, and I am blessed to play bass alongside some very talented musicians in The Foothill Tavern Band (www.foothilltavernband.com).
