Mostly home recordist these days. Did all my gigging back in the 90s. Logic X user for a good few years, have done lots of collaborations on other music sites, mostly Soundcloud. Always happy to collaborate with singers and others. Not really into gigging these days. Enjoying Drooble so far, seems like a friendly place. Well thought out etc. Hopefully they can scale it up and get some butts on seats :) Enjoy yourselves, life is too short.
It's another voice/language. It lets me express things I feel that I can't necessarily put into words. It's a release and at the same time a great source of frustration when its not working out they way I want.
To write one great song that touches people and becomes a part of their life experience, as in the song they heard when they fell in love, had their first (or fifth) heartache or was a comfort when they were at their lowest ebb. You can keep the money and the fame :)
I'd remove two emotions. Fear and hate.
So many :) As a child maybe "we all live in the yellow submarine".
Tears for Fears. Prefab Sprout. Grandaddy. Guster. Nirvana. Marillion. The Smiths. The Police. Duran Duran. U2. Could go on and on.
Life in general I guess.
That we are all in this together, that we are here for a pretty short time. We will more or less all have the same life experiences, we will all feel the same things at some point. So when you can, be nice and maybe that will come back to you.
Nervous and excited in almost equal measure. It's one of lifes great natural highs.
It's probably no different to what it always was, apart from the fact that every other person has a home studio in their bedroom that's more powerful than Elvis or the Beatles had at their disposal. It still all comes down to the songs, write good songs.
I've only been here a few days, but so far it seems to be very good. It only lacks numbers of users but that will definitely change over time.
Finding like minded collaborators and good singers :)
Not much of a local scene anymore, but when there was I was a part of it :)
Patience, fortitude and resilience.
Dallas Green? Big in Canada, but a great singer song writer. Granddaddy, biggish, but should be megastars.
