Vernon Van de Laarschot


Vernon van de Laarschot better known as 'Furbey' is a 21 y/o DJ/Producer from the Netherlands. He's a multi-functional DJ/Producer who loves to add a little bit of every genre to his own music. Genres he loves to produce and play: EDM, Afro & Hip-Hop. He started learning, producing and dj'ing music at 12 y/o in the summer of 2011, and his passion for electronic music has never been the same since then. His first major gig was at 14 y/o in Club Versuz @ Hasselt, Belgium. Followed up by private parties and local club gigs. His first big own produced record that went in to a huge amount of plays(500K+) was his remix of the French hit 'Vegedream - Ramenez La Coupe Á La Maison'. Followed up by his tracks 'Neblina', 'Tablas', 'Nasuko', 'Azibi' and 'Aurora' which a few of them got uploaded to XorksTV. Since then DJ's from France, Morocco, Spain, etc started to play his music in clubs all over the world. This got him motivated to improve and keep on experiencing the DJ/Producer scene. What inspires you to make music?

Nature, working out, seeing my music doing well on streams etc

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Enjoy life and don't get carried away in the negative

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Relax, but also kinda aware

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I think a lot of Youtube/Influencer artists could stop their music career, because they just see it as a cashflow and they're not in it for the love of music...

What do you think of Drooble?

I'm just new here, so yeah right now I'm still liking it hahahaha

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Just the normal things that frustate me in life

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I'm not really a fan of my local musicians hahaha ?...

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Music Theory, Music production, Mixing and Mastering, but that's just for a producer like me...
