My name is Tastee, and i’m a producer. I specialize in dubstep, riddim, and trap. I’m from Georgia and I draw a lot of inspiration from the Atlanta hip hop scene as well as classic exploitation/ grindhouse style films. I like to think of my music as an expression of the cartoon that lives inside of me. Stop taking everything so seriously, have a laugh, and bang your head through the wall.
Music is therapy to me. If I have a shitty day, I can turn on something really bass heavy and release.
Collaborate with the guys who started it all. Benga, Skream, Rusko, Coki, etc
People that don't use blinkers...
Stay away - Godsmack
excision, benga, angelspit, lamb of god, peekaboo, getter
Grindhouse/exploitation style films is my second hobby, so they definitely do. Just the every day grind man....
Everyones taking something that was supposed to be fun so seriously these days. I just want to get back to throwing down and having fun with it.
Depends on the audience. Nervous? For sure, but if they are dancing, laughing, or in any way having a good time, then it's a job well done. Even if I mess up terribly and they find it hilarious, I can play the clown for a minute before I melt their faces again.
The gatekeeping can come down a bit.
Just checking out, not sure yet.
over saturation. I hate when everyone is trying to sound the same. you gotta stick out man.
For sure, I try to give more attention to underground locals more than someone coming from out of state on a national tour.
Persistence and humility
Evolutions Decay is a dope artist out of California, then there's Exille from Atlanta. Man, there's tons of underground people creating some of the sickest stuff i've ever heard, just trying to catch their break.
