What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is just a melodic way to express how you are feeling or what is going on in your life. Sometimes when I can't find the words to speak, I know that I can put it in a song. It gives me the opportunity to be myself unapologetically and get things off my chest. Music is my safe space and my heart.

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to be able to not only touch people with my music but to reach people with my heart. I have always believed that I go through things so that I am able to help others get through their troubles. My music gives me a way to show others that they are not alone and that if I can make it through it then you can too.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

If I could change the world, I would start with me. I cant help anyone if I am unable to help myself.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

When you're in love by Karina Pasian

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Jazmine Sullivan is one of my favorite artists by far!

What inspires you to make music?

My life and my love for singing is what inspires me to make music.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I want everyone to know that you should never be ashamed of your testimony and your story. You are who you are and you went through what you went through for a reason. Stand firm in your truth because you never know who you can bless by just telling your story.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel a number of emotions but humbled is by far my biggest. Performing in front of a crowd that has paid to see you, has all eyes on you, and are screaming your name is so humbling to me. It makes me feel like my hard work and my pain were not in vain. There are people who believe in me and my music.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

What do you think of Drooble?

I believe that it is a beautiful platform for upcoming artists.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

It is very frustrating as a musician to never know who can be trusted with your art in this business. No matter how vulnerable you want to be, you always have to keep business in the forefront and keep one eye open.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes I support as many local events as possible. I attend open mic nights, jam sessions, festivals, poetry nights and so much more because you have to give support to get support.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I believe that a musician should have a business mindset and a welcoming personality. If you know your business, you will be able to not only reach a larger crowd but you will be able to properly monetize off that as well. You also have to be someone that people are interested in getting to know. If you are a not a person that is personable or relatable, you will lose that large audience just as fast as you gained them.
