Bio

I've been writing songs for 30 years+ - stage experience for over 35 years. I have a band that backs me up on my originals - The WILD Banchees. We play Reggae, Blues, Folk, Pop, Ambient. We appeal to all ages! We are based in S Scottsdale - SE Phoenix area, AZ, USA. We host events: Songwriters Showcase & All Original Open Mic Jam - currently on Fridays in Scottsdale. Now 2nd & 4th Fridays each month for the slower summer months in AZ.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

I have been writing & performing my music for over 30 years. I also host events that support the songwriter community. I put wind under younger songwriters' wings by providing a venue where they can play. When I discover new talent, I book them to play Showcases of their original music! Music is the universal language. I have friends of many walks of life. The majority of my friends are musicians.

What is your music dream?

I need to get CDs out. People love our music! They need to hear it.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Music & political messages. My focus? Environmental Protection! & Social Awareness - Personal Empowerment - Feel-Good Music & Good Clean Fun! I founded Earth Day in Nagoya, Japan in 1990. Was president of the organization for 4 years. We featured live music at all of our events!

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Oddly enough, as a young child - Zippity Do Dah... LOL

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Jack Johnson, Joan Baez, Van Morrison, and some local artists (my local songwriter community).

What inspires you to make music?

My inner creativity. Inspirational thoughts that come to me - sometimes just fun playing w/ words... Rhythms & chord progressions...

What is the message you want to send with your music?

We can all make a difference! Let's work together to create a harmonious future!

I host Songwriter Showcases & All Original Open Mic Jams I have hosted open mic & jams for over 5 years in the Phoenix valley. Ii co-host fund-raisers for friends w/ health challenges... & Attend local musicians shows -
