What the term "One man band" means for Scott: He does all the arrangements, lyrics, instrument performances, vocal performance, mix and mastering of all his music. Scott Cruz is a recording artist and performer with a wealth of talent and a gift of vision. He is also a respected composer with five prestigious Telly Awards. Scott has been recognized for his musical works, which have been featured on major television networks including; Discovery Channel, History Channel, and the 3net/Sony Imax Channel. The prolific singer, songwriter, producer, and composer’s formative years expanded with a healthy dose of formal musical education and exposure to various genres of music including gospel, pop, electronic, and rock. Scott began song-writing and producing his own songs at the age of 15. Today, as he continues to perform, record, and mix his own music as an independent solo artist. Scott explains: “Any opportunity to create music, particularly as one element in a larger body of work, is an opportunity to communicate directly to others through emotion with heart and soul.” He also states, “The greatness of music is measured by the true ability to emotionally move someone in any way, at any time, in any place.”

Music is life. It gives me life.

Songs. Any song that I create is my dream made tangible.

Convincing people the world doesn't need changing, but enjoying.

Nine Inch Nails, The Doors, Queen, Muse, Enya, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, Dead Can Dance, Dru Hill, Tori Amos, Bjork, Massive Attack, Saint Vincent, Chevelle. Soul/R&B, Gospel, Electronica.. The list goes on and on and weirder and wider.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

You are the shit no matter what. You don't have the power, you ARE the power.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Uncontrollable orgasms.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Too much yet too little. Enough with the trends. Who choses them anyway? The industry need some serious refinement and enough with the cooperate media sound. It's old and tired.

What do you think of Drooble?

We're just getting past the one night stand phase, we have to get to know each other more. Sheesh.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

That I'm a musician.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Being I live in Palm Springs, I support my local scene with the use of air conditioning.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Diversity!! Being a pretty singer isn't enough. Now its time for the Artist to shine! Uniqueness isn't just for today but always! People have definitely lost their sense of self thanks to social media and plastic puppets posing as "influencers" and celebrities.
