Sam Shamanov

Hello! My story (when I became a little closer to music) began in the distant 98th year, when I first heard real hip-hop in English. And something happened in my subconscious. An inner voice told me to Take and Do the Same. And I began to write lyrics in this mysterious style for me. But for a long time I was afraid to approach the microphone.I was afraid of my own voice. There was a fear that what if my voice was so-so) The first moves to the tracks appeared in the summer of 2017, when I used a regular smartphone and headphones for recording (and also special app). And since September of this year, I switched to the traditional version of recording through a special software and studio microphone, which gave me an incentive to understand this process a bit more. But I don't sit in one place. I am constantly on the move, I am constantly honing rhymes and my flow. I try a lot (in the good sense of the word).

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music for me is everything. This is power, will, motivation for action (especially when you don't have a musical education or a super duper vocal). This is fresh energy that stimulates me to be always in good shape.

What is your music dream?

To be honest, I do not know. But I know one thing, I don’t strive for fame, I don’t want to be shown on TV, I don’t want to be written about me in newspapers and magazines. I want my voiceover only

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would start to change this world from myself. Nobody is perfect. I would begin to change my prejudices, habits, thoughts, speech. And then I would go to people carrying a simple truth — if you want to change this world, start with your loved ones

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Song from childhood. What a good question. I remember my mother singing lullabies to me. I remember Russian drinking songs (this is something with something, especially when they are sung without musical accompaniment in order to feel the scale of the Russian soul)

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I remember 1998, when I first came into contact with rap. I was then impressed by the band like Down Low and their hit number one like a Moonlight. And then there were the guys from Black Attack with their hits Heartless and Bang-Bang (which I translated into Russian). It was these bands that prompted me to start writing hip-hop lyrics. And the most interesting thing is that in 2008 at one of the forums I talked to one of the soloists of the band Down Low who understood my clumsy English and gave me advice for the future if I still want to go along a very difficult path into the world of hip-hop. And here I am ... I share something interesting with each of you.

What inspires you to make music?

Those people who suppport me,my family and my special someone(my Muse)

What is the message you want to send with your music?

My hand will not rise to write that my music and my tracks don't have a message for people. I always think before you do anything. And my main message is... Regardless of how the cards lies and what is coming up in your destiny, you need to be a man and only deliberate actions should be performed... Thinking about the consequences.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I will answer this way ... I had this experience when I worked in front of a large audience, in front of a different audience. And I liked it. But I've never sung before an audience. But if this happens, then I think that both I and people will be interested.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Many real talents are hard to find themselves. And they are among the already well-known known names. It's necessary to do everything possible and impossible so that the wick of their aspirations doesn't go out in order for them to be heard by the majority.

What do you think of Drooble?

This is a real breakthrough. A push for action for those who want his or her creations to be heard. I like the concept of this platform. This is my second life

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Since the modern world and the world-improvement very quickly change, it is difficult to quickly grasp the idea for the next song. What was interesting Yesterday is no longer interesting Today. But ... Will it stop me :) This is another question about how I find clues and a concept for my ideas

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

At the local level, I do NOTHING on the local scene. Perhaps due to the fact that I am afraid of popularity, I am afraid to be recognizable. It is better for me to do something while remaining in the shadows. If there is my voice, then this is already OK.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I will answer this way. Do not be afraid to go ahead. That you should be an adventurer in your spirit and likeness and deeply immersed in the process of creating your music. You have to work hard and learn, not wait for the weather from the sea. Hardly having written one hit you will become famous and give up on everything. Only by going through difficulties can you achieve something and not learn to learn from your mistakes. It didn't work today, then it will work tomorrow. Only by going through difficulties can you achieve something and not learn to learn from your mistakes. It didn't work today, then it will work tomorrow. If you don't have the strength to study music every day, then let it become your hobby in order to avoid many disappointments. After all, the soul of a musician is very thin and vulnerable.
