I'm someone who shares emotions through music. Mostly in portuguese.
Music is sacred in its Nature. It's a way for the divine to connect with the mortal realm. Most of the times, when a song is written, it's as if it was always there, for you to unveil, you know? And it ends up summing to my life.
To find the Sound. The ultimate vibration. Of course it's supposed to be intangible. But who cares? I'd also like to make a living out of music.
If I had, like, full access to the tools of the Gods, or whatever, I would start with putting an end to suffering. But I wouldn't put an end to impermanence - that's what makes us live. Then I would put an end to evil and, finally, death.
"Time" by Pink Floyd.
- The Beatles, who are perfect to the very core. - The Doors, who are inspiration themselves. - Jorge Palma, who is a real troubadour. He is like the portuguese Bob Dylan, or so they say.
Emotion.
I just want to express it. I have no other intentions.
Nervous, perhaps. Thrilled, for certain.
I see musicians have to do a lot more than music, and that's terrible. Promotion shouldn't be the work for a musician or a composer. There are people who are specialized in such fields of knowledge.
Drooble really makes music stand out. Everyone has got their shot. And that's memorable.
It's frustrating when you can't write because of no moods, or when you're sick and you can't sing. Here in Portugal we have such terrible winters. So... It's also very frustrating to have debts.
Yes, I do. I try to help. I have a very small studio, and every now and then someone gets me doing free recordings. When the music is good, how could we not help?
Emotion.
Jon Hendricks, for example. One of the Gods. He died last year (2017), 22th November, and I'm sick to say this. I'll never have the chance to meet him in this lifetime. You should check his take on Miles Davis' "Freddie Freeloader" and also another song of their own called "Cloudburst". =) Cheers.
