Story

I am Rowdy Strum i come from the southern side of the muddy water exit 34 man. Born in Central Queensland Australia. I do not know a lot about music stuff cant read music dont know what key i play in i am pretty sure its skeleton key dont know the names of half the chords i play taught myself through trial and error in my bedroom. I did have guitars around me all my life with my step father and uncles playing the old cowboy tunes out the backyard under the trees. but didnt take it up until my 20s then i played in my bedroom entertaining the wardobe for 20+ years then i roped my self in to play at a talent quest was my first introduction to a microphone and stage. I play original music on stage as an amateur . i aint no fancy pants musician man

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my passion i play and sing everyday it lifts me up. Self Expression by lyric to music is magic to my soul. no matter how big i could get a 6 yr old child with a triangle is a musician just like me

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to be played on the radio, ive played at pubs parties and small to large festivals as a solo artist and have had airplay on digital radio so im taking dreams one step at a time once that dream is complete i will look towards the next dream

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

New sustainable products biodegradable plastics cleaner energy peace love and harmony

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Fox on the Run by the sweet our school bus used to sing it everyday on our long journey to school

Neil Young, Bob Dylan Cat Stevens

What inspires you to make music?

Ive made up songs all my life i dont know were it comes from its like its beamed into me. people keep saying write a song about this or that i can do that but it never sounds right some days i pick up my guitar or ukelele and boom lyric hits me. And aft6er i finish the song whether it be 5 minutes or 5 yrs it always seems to relate o some part of my life

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I download all my songs from my heart and soul

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

it lifts me up makes me float at the level of love

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

A lot seem to be going to the beat of the same drum but also there are brilliant people out their amongst the concrete and timber that will never get a go more people need to be heard

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

If i have a gig locally or anywhere else i always get there when it begins and stay until the end and always tell them how they sound without telling them how to perform or share their own art. And even if im not playing i still go to stay and listen always throw a busker some coin. Buying their CDs etc

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

If they are loving it there probably are lots of people who love it too
