Rage Inducer

Confronting Genocide

Rage Inducer is the post-doom horror soundtrack for a world ravaged by industrialized genocide. The project was created by author and photographer John Edward Lawson in late 2015, spawning 13 releases to date. Given the worldwide popularity of genocide Rage Inducer draws from popular culture, despite being rooted in doom metal. During the 1990s Lawson kicked around in the DC industrial-electro-goth scene in the band Dead Letter Office, and numerous side projects. In 1998 he graduated from Omega Studios School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences with certificates in Music Productions Techniques for Advertising as well as Music Business and Artist Management. He went on to own and operate Rack and Ruin Studio, recording artists in the Washington, D.C. area for many years. Lawson has since been involved in the production of numerous short films, including award winners Party Girl and Uberman: An Experiment in Consciousness. Director Jayson Densman collaborated with John for years spawning a trilogy of PoVids derived from his poetry. His novels, short fiction, and poetry have garnered nominations for many awards, including the Stoker and Wonderland Awards. In addition to being a founder of Raw Dog Screaming Press and former editor-in-chief of The Dream People magazine he currently serves as president of the Horror Writers Association. Rage Inducer releases are available on Bandcamp, Tidal, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, and other major streaming platforms.
