What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is the Universal Language. Music can speak volumes without words, and armed with words, can change the world.

What is your music dream?

Just... to be... I just want to be able to do my own thing, and not have to worry about it. That said, I want a stable music career so that I can support my family by just doing my thing. so.. yeah..

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Eat the rich.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

INXS - "Need You Tonight"... The guitar intro had me hooked when I was a little one.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Favorite?... Hmmm... I'm heavily inspired by Trent Reznor. Though, I think I like How To Destroy Angels more that NIN these days. Maynard Keenan, of course, nuff said. Boston has always inspired me, and I belive the Third Stage album to be a masterpiece. But, in the end, I've always called Fleetwood Mac my favorite band.

What inspires you to make music?

Life

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Chill out, relax, revolt, and have fun!

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Somewhat euphoric.. and usually a little inebriated...

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Tough. The most utilized distribution services and outlets don't pay crap. The local markets can be competitive and cliquey, making it hard to get heard or book shows. Marketing is expensive, and difficult for many of us who haven't studied it, and those of us who use music to calm our anxiety... Not to mention focus group driven playlists, ( I love public radio so much! Check out The Current. It's my fave station ever...).... I digress... We need a fair and balanced way to distribute and be heard. We need to be fairly compensated for our lives' work.

What do you think of Drooble?

I'm loving it, thus far. =)

What frustrates you most as a musician?

marketing

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes and no. I've been in it for too long, and have become mildly cynical. I always support the bands I love, when I can. I also love working as a local engineer, because I get to meet new bands and musicians all the time, and really get a feel for the music of the area, outside of my niche. So, I suppose, I support when I can. I pay my cover, even when I don't have to. I always work to make the band sound great when I'm working a live gig. I offer recording, mixing, and mastering services, though my portfolio is small... but... sometimes gets in the way of itself, and I can't always be there.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Don't hold back.
