What is music to you? What does it give you?

In essence, music is my language of worship and a vessel through which I can share the love of Christ with the world. It's my calling, my passion, and my way of connecting with God and humanity. As I continue to create music, my prayer is that it will resonate with people's hearts, drawing them closer to the One who is truly worthy of all praise – Jesus Christ.

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to touch the lives of millions through the power of worship. I envision my songs becoming anthems of hope, healing, and transformation for people from all walks of life and from every corner of the world. I dream of leading worship in stadiums and arenas, where thousands of people gather to lift their voices in unison, proclaiming the worthiness of Jesus. I want to see hearts stirred, burdens lifted, and chains broken as people encounter the tangible presence of God through the songs I sing. Beyond just the music, I dream of creating a global community of worshippers, united in their love for Jesus and their desire to make Him known. I want to inspire and mentor the next generation of worship artists, equipping them to use their gifts to bring glory to God and impact the world.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

While changing the world is a lofty aspiration, I firmly believe that even small acts of love and kindness can have a ripple effect that impacts the lives of others. By starting with fostering love, empathy, and compassion, I hope to contribute to a world where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to live their best lives.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I see the reality for musicians nowadays as a mixed bag. On one hand, advancements in technology and the rise of social media have provided unprecedented opportunities for artists to share their music with a global audience. Musicians can now reach listeners directly, breaking away from traditional gatekeepers and record labels. However, with the abundance of content available online, it has become increasingly challenging for musicians to stand out and gain recognition. The oversaturation of the music industry means that talented artists often struggle to get noticed amidst the noise. Moreover, the shift towards digital streaming and online platforms has changed the way musicians earn a living. Streaming services, while convenient for listeners, often result in significantly lower revenue for artists, making it harder for them to sustain their careers solely through music sales and royalties. As Agaba, I believe that the music industry could be improved by creating a more equitable and sustainable environment for artists. This could be achieved through various means: Fair Compensation: Ensuring that artists receive fair compensation for their work, especially on streaming platforms. Implementing measures to increase royalty rates and advocate for a more transparent revenue-sharing model would help artists earn a living wage from their music. Support for Emerging Artists: Providing more support and resources for emerging artists to grow and develop their talents. Grants, mentorship programs, and affordable studio spaces can play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of musicians. Diverse Representation: Encouraging diversity and inclusivity in the music industry, both in terms of artists and behind-the-scenes professionals. A more diverse and representative industry can lead to a richer and more vibrant musical landscape. Access to Education: Offering accessible music education programs for aspiring artists, especially in underserved communities. Empowering individuals with the tools and knowledge to pursue music careers can lead to a more diverse and innovative industry. Promotion of Live Music: Supporting live music venues and events to create more opportunities for musicians to perform and connect with their audience. Live performances not only provide income but also foster a deeper connection between artists and their fans. By addressing these areas, we can work towards creating an environment where musicians are better supported, compensated, and empowered to thrive in their artistic pursuits. Ultimately, a thriving music industry benefits not only the artists but also society as a whole, as music has the power to inspire, heal, and unite us

I also actively engage with local artists on social media and streaming platforms, sharing their music, leaving positive feedback, and encouraging others to do the same.
