What is music to you? What does it give you?

Expression

What is your music dream?

A nice Sunburst Gibson Les Paul probably....

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Poverty and inequality..along with climate change...

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

'Fire and Water' by Free

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Cry of Love, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, Clannad, Led Zeppelin, Heart, Bad Company, Magnum, John Martyn, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Mike Stern, Eric Johnson, SRV, Jeff Beck, Free, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Mike Mainieri, Steps Ahead, Mike Brecker, Michael McDonald, Toto, Larry Carlton, Steve Lukather, Dann Huff, Giant, Mike Landau etc.

What inspires you to make music?

Rhythm, Harmony and Melody and emotions...

What is the message you want to send with your music?

That musical is the universal language with no borders....

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

If the gig is going well...then happiness and self-expression

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

VERY tough....nobody wants to pay to listen to music or have it recorded by professionals who know what they are doing. I'd like to see the industry support real musicians/songwriters much more than they do. Less influencers/celebrities and more real talent would be good....and more focus on good well crafted original music and not just software generated tracks.

What do you think of Drooble?

It's good... :-)

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Lack of money/support to enable recording and performance opportunities for musicians.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Occasionally, but I live miles away from any big cities....so opportunities are slim.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Thick skin and a good business sense! Great songs help too!....and playing plus recording skills

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Cry Of Love spring to mind. Long disbanded now, but they were a truly great classic rock band in the early 90s. Audley Freed on guitar. They should have been huge.
