Singer-songwriter Paula Jasmine James grew up in Gdansk in Poland where she was awarded a scholarship to study music at the age of eight, and has been singing and playing flute and piano ever since. Paula studied at the Jazz Academy in Katowice. Aged 19, Paula spent three years touring Europe playing multiple festivals in Holland, Belgium, Germany, and Poland with her jazz quartet. The quartet largely performed jazz standards and original compositions written by the quartet’s members. Since moving to the UK Paula has been focusing on her solo career after acquiring both her PGCE and MMus in Songwriting at Bath Spa University. Her past performance credits include: 2002-03: European tour with jazz quartet in Poland, Germany, Holland, and Belgium. 2008-09: Part of Vocal Work Gospel Choir Bath performing for BBC 3 live show (Up To Stage) in London, as well as shows in Birmingham, Bath, and Bristol. 2010-12: Solo role with Community Sounds Limited performing with a gospel choir. The ensemble played many private events in the South West of England including significant venues in Bristol (St George’s, Gloryfest in Colston Hall and a performance to greet the Royal Family in Bristol) 2012: Solo performance for Corsham Air Ambulance Charity 2013: Vocalist for BJBB(Bran Jones Big Band) including bandstand performances in Victoria Park, Parade Gardens in Bath, John Coles Park in Chippenham, and shows in the surrounding areas as well as performances for the mayors of Bristol and Melksham held at city hall. 2016-Present: Shows as a solo performer in Bath including: Wine Bar Barton Street, 44 AD Gallery Bath, St James Wine Vaults, Jazz in the Garden (Wheelwrights Arms) 2019- Collaboration with FUSKO Productions (Italian DJ’s and Producers) writing and recording vocal tracks for songs to be released in the US and Italy beginning of 2023 2020 Haunted House debut solo album release.Then Covid era so no promo or touring ever took place... 2022 till present Paula is currently working on 3 separate projects. 1. Her 2nd solo album. 2. Duo project with Mark Mojo Johnson. 3. Chill out, dance tracks.

I attend the local shows and shows where my friends perform to support live music and THEM!
Not sure its about qualities...it's about how many hours can spend on your admin and promo and how much money can you pour into the adds, most of us can only do that on a small scale so our audience grows at a snail speed.
