What is music to you? What does it give you?

Soul therapy. Joy. Hope. Inspiration. A good cry when I need one. It helps me to connect to humanity, nature, to transcend to a higher plane. It humbles me, and then elevates me. Makes me fly.

What is your music dream?

To be in a creative environment, using my talents fully. I was most recently singing backing vocals for a country group, but that wasn't scratching my blues itch. I'd like to join or start a great blues group with horns, harp, everything.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Prayer.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Too, too many. They all have their special moments.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

So many, hard to say.

What inspires you to make music?

If I don't, I'll explode.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

We all, deep down, are the same inside.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Fully alive.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Hard for me to comment on... Once I'm connected to the music scene in Dallas for awhile, I might have a valid opinion.

What do you think of Drooble?

We'll see.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Carving out the space to make being a musician possible--creating the atmosphere to create without being rushed or pressured into something else.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes, if I go out to the open mics, etc., I stay and watch the other performers. I love to go see live bands.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Hmm... not sure. Haven't gotten my "product" out there yet.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

The Big Nasty Band from Austin, Texas. They were the most bad-ass hard-rocking blues band ever--they were like 19 and 20 years old when they made this crazy-great music--but partied too hard I think. I have a cd they made that is my most valuable possession: "Whiskey Drunk". I just found some CD songs all out there on Youtube. Here's one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZAA6njiuA8. Also, love the Stratoblasters in Dallas, Texas.
