Nico

Story

Australian-born Chilean singer-songwriter Nico, is heavily influenced by pop, RnB, and dance music. He started singing to escape anxiety, depression, and commends music for having re-energised him. Ten months since his first release, Nico's been a supporting act for Sam Perry (2018 winner of The Voice Australia), has had airplay in Australia, Singapore, The Caribbean, and starred on SYN1700, a Melbourne television show. Nico’s mix of smooth and raspy vocals have seen the birth of the experimental track 'Ready', 90/00s inspired 'Keep It Cool', the tropical vibe ‘This Night (No Hablo Inglés)’, and most recently, his Spanish debut: 'Que Haré' - mastered by Grammy-award nominee Beau Vallis, who's previously worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Pharrell Williams, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Sean Paul, and Alessia Cara. Intrigued by the emotion in music, Nico wants listeners to ‘feel’ his tracks from start to finish. He argues it’s about being “in the shoes” of the story you’re telling, and having your own signature delivery. Very few pop singers seem to have the conception of applying an individual approach to each individual song, but Nico is one of them. “I don’t just want to sing or release the 'same-sounding track'. I want you to ‘feel’ the uniqueness that each track can encompass”, he adds.
