Story

I'm a singer and a songwriter from Poland. Before I'd started composing my own songs, I've been mostly focused on writing lyrics (also in English), starting at the age of 8. I performed in various musicals, which made me interested in acting and increased my preferences for changing my fashion style. In 2010 I graduated with a bachelor degree in music education. During that time I was a member of a prestigious choir Harmonia. During my master's degree in anthropology, I started acting in various TV shows and music videos. Not only do I compose my own songs, but I collaborated with Polish rappers and jazz pianists and internationally, including Croatian band The Employees, Greek producer TtrueAR or Rick Cedana from France. It's a great way to improve my own skills and gain significant experience. When it comes to music, I don't limit myself in terms of music genres or a particular style. I had contact with all kinds of artists, movie makers, fashion designers, musicians, actors, and they all made me realize that art is too beautiful for any kind of limitations. I love changing my style, I love experimenting in all fields, not just music. I feel most comfortable in pop music, but I try to sing rock, pop r&b or house and work on various types of songs. I write my own lyrics, I mostly focus on the darker side of life, because lyrics is my kind of therapy that helps me cope with negative emotions. It's also my way to show people that we all experience the same or similar things. It's a place where I can be 100% genuine in what I feel. In life I just want to have fun and make others have fun with me and my music. My goal is to to travel and share my music with the whole world, because music shouldn't be limited only to one country or nation. In May 2016 I released my first EP ''Raconteur'' and my second album ''Odd Man Out'' is available on SPOTIFY AND iTUNES since November 2018. It includes my songs like ''Hero'' or ''Guilty''. In 2020 I released my 3rd album ''HIKIKIMORA" which is almost entirely instrumental. I'm in the process of writing my 4th album. Currently I am working as an actress and singer in a traveling theater in Cracow.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my true passion and my fuel. As cliche as it may sound, it's something that keeps me alive and makes me get up in the morning. It's my way of communicating with the world, of expressing my thoughts and emotions, especially when it's something I'm too afraid to talk about. It's my way of bringing more light into this world, because I want my music to comfort others, to entertain them and cheer them up.

What is your music dream?

To become a globally successful singer and songwriter and to work with creative, unique people who love experimenting with sounds and art in general

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I wouldn't want to do this alone, and it's not something one person can do anyway. I'd start with inspiring one person, who's willing to make this world a better place, who will inspire somebody else and the list would go on and the message would spread around the world. It's not a one-man job, it's a teamwork, and I could only be somebody who would inspire others to do the same.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

The Voice Within by Christina Aguilera. It's that one song that kept me going and helped me get through the rough times. It still holds a special place in my heart.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Evanescence, been my role models since 2003. Saw them live this year in Warsaw, it was an unforgettable experience. Aside it, BTS, Placebo, Radical Face, Billy Talent, Avril Lavigne...I think I have a fave artist in every genre

What inspires you to make music?

I'm not good in expressing my feelings in conversations, but I do it just fine through singing and writing my own lyrics. There are things that I'm unable to discuss with anyone, because I might be seen as a weirdo, freak or ungrateful, or whatever. But when it comes to music and lyrics, I'm unfiltered and I feel free to say what I want. And I know that I am not the only one and I wish my music could express what others cannot because of their personal reasons. What inspires me to make music? I want to inspire people to follow their dreams, to be true to themselves and fight for what they believe in. I also want to leave a true, legit evidence of my existence, so when I'm gone, there will be tons of music that will remind people of me.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

If you have a dream, it means you were born to do this and so you should protect that dream. Even if the dream seems unreachable, unavailable, impossible, etc., with enough determination, perseverence and belief you will turn into a person who will turn this dream into a reality. Also be true to yourself and embrace your feelings, whether it's love or fear. Your feelings matter, they're real, and so don't ever think that you shouldn't be feeling something. If it's good, feel it more, if it's wrong, respect it, but take it as a lesson of what to change about yourself to become a better person.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel important, confident and happy. And surrounded with love, because I feel like the entire world is having fun with me. It's a beautiful moment.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It could always be improved, but there's something else that I think needs the most improvement and it's unsigned musician's belief in their abilities. I come across so many musicians, who don't truly believe in their art and themselves and whenever they talk about career or fame, they're so pessimistic and negative, ''i will never be famous''or ''the world doesn't care about real music anymore''. What you give is what you get. If you think the world doesn't care, then it doesn't care. If you say you won't be famous than you won't. Believe in yourself and if you want a great career, believe you can have it and don't give up.

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it's a good website to make contacts and learn more about the musicians from the entire world. There are millions of talented people, who make amazing music and I'm always very interested in listening to underground stuff. Not to mention you can also learn a lot from other artists :)

What frustrates you most as a musician?

sometimes inspiration takes ages to kick in. You feel like composing or writing, but every idea you come up with is crap. Months can pass by and you write nothing. It's frustrating. Though when you finally get inspired, what you end up composing is absolutely amazing and beautiful, sends shivers down the spine, but the wait can be really frustrating xd

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Not really. I'm not a fan of my country's music, either underground or mainstream. I don't follow any artist, except for my friends who I met on the contest in 2016. Plus they're all very negative people, who kept saying how everything sucks and how they will never get anywhere, and these are the kind of people I don't really want to support and hang out with in any way. I have my own world, my own fave artists that I support and that's enough for me.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

More self-belief. Yeah, we can go on about good music, demos, looks, talent, yeah it's all important and definitely plays a huge role, but why is there so many amazing artists who can't get exposure? Because they doubt themselves. They constantly see themselves as underappreciated or failures and this is exactly what they get back. You can't except people to love you if you downgrade yourself on daily basis. I might not be Lady Gaga yet, but I can see improvement the more I believe in myself. Let people see that you take your music seriously, be grateful for even tiny bit of support and you'll get there.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

BTS, Radical Face, Rick Cedana (I work with him and his music is really great), Illias Koutromanos aka TtrueAr (I work with him as well and it's definitely one of my fave artists), MonaLisa Twins, and Me of course :)
