Music is life. I've been a professional songwriter and musician since I was about 18 I think. I cannot imagine music not being in my life.
To continue to earn a living doing what I love.
Education. I think a lot of people are severely under educated.
Perhaps, Strutter from the KISS Alive! album?
Off the top of my head, anything with guitars, bass, and drums. I really love a lot of 80s hard rock and metal, and classic rock bands.
All the good things and bad things that happen to us in life.
I want people to feel alive. If there is a message in my music, it might be to break free of all the things that hold you back; to be free. Free to live, free to create, and freedom to think for yourself. A lot of people live in a mental prison. They have a war in their head 24 hours a day of right and wrong issues, should I do this or do that, why did I do that? How come I am not good enough? They torture themselves night and day. I hope some of my songs open them up inside and maybe they can break the chains and tear down the walls they built that prevent them from really living an authentic life.
I feel like I am walking on clouds. It is a truly magical experience to be on stage and perform for people who love music.
Internet radio stations could really make an effort to break new artists. Some will play a song once and think that is enough. No, the tried and true method of breaking an artist is to play that song a lot. All the FM specialty shows could do the same. Playing a song once is great. I have picked up a lot of fans that way. But repetition works miracles.
I really love it so far!
Finding professionals to work with. Everyone wants to party like a rockstar. That's cool but you gotta be a rockstar first! Haha. I would rather work with people that party after the show or after a recording session.
Yes. I bring friends, buy drinks, and tip the band. I also promote them on my social media pages. I have about 25,000-30,000 fans on my Facebook music page right now. I do what I can to keep rock music alive.
Some experience, dedication, and a little talent goes a long way. Ambition is important as well. Have you met me yet? I am not just motivated, I am a true force of nature.
Therina Bella (alternative rock songwriter, so talented), Hannah Wicklund (kick ass guitarist and singer), and Jarrod Valenti, a great saxophonist that could be the next Clarence Clemons.
