I am not a singer, but I do interpret my own songs.I am primarily a bass player, but I do write songs which is predominantly done on acoustic guitar.
music for me is both a way of satisfying the creative urge and a way to challenge myself to communicate in ways that may be more difficult to articulate in plain conversation. it allows me to express emotions and to tell stories and share with others. Music has also been the soundtrack to my life. I can remember events, relationships, tragedies, employment, nights out and just days walking down the street; just from a few bars heard on the radio. to that end music is a therapist, a time machine, a party starter, a match maker and teacher,
my music dream is relatively simple I want to be able to continue to create music, share my song ideas, collaborate with likeminded musicians and when I can share live and on record. if I continue to do this, I will improve and if I continue to improve I will be happy.

This is easy. Penny Lane by The Beatles. I remember it as a radio staple when I was a toddler. I love the melody, whimsical nature, instrumentation and narrative nature of the song. I could sing it through right now! I lived off Penny Lane as a student in the 1980s and it was filled with romance, even if the reality was a bit ‘grittier’ then, than Macca’s idyll.
