Michael E. Coleman Michael E Coleman brings a wealth of industry experience as a musician, performer, songwriter, band –director, publisher, and promoter producing his band Musicole w/Michael C. A native of Benton Harbor, Michigan, he is a self-taught musician who began playing guitar in 1971. He attended Columbia school of Broadcasting as a radio announcer after graduating from LaSalle high school in 1975. Coleman played with the likes of R&B legends Clarence Carter (“Patches”, “Strokin”, etc.), The Platters (“Only You”, “The Great Pretender, etc.), and The Impressions (“People Get Ready”, “It’s Alright”, “Amen”, etc.). He performed in the Indiana University Jazz Ensemble, and co-founded “Congressional Funk” who became an opening act for many greats through out the Midwest circuit. He also toured with “Tangie ‘N’ Tommie” from Columbus, Ohio where he relocated to Houston, Texas to work with “Archie Bell & The Drells”. Through out the 90’s, Coleman played guitar on Scotia Prince Cruise lines where the floorshow consisted of TV commercials and excerpts. He also had a stint on New York’s Broadway where he sang on “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Grease”, and “A Tribute to Motown”. Ultimately, Coleman says his utmost ambitions are to take their show worldwide and play at New York’s Madison Square Garden, develop a tribute show to the legendary “Kool & The Gang” and score a movie sound track. As a 35 year veteran, with 25 years of touring, Coleman say’s, “In an industry with very clear cuts parts to success, you’ve got to respect your audience”. It’s your audience, better yet your entire listening public, who will make you or break you in this business.

UN-bias the music industry. Make the music industry a fair and non discriminatory industry. Bring back Record companies, and allow them to search and seek out talent based on talent. Not based on who you know in someone's office, production company, or area where you live. There are super talented musicians and vocalist in areas of the country that never get noticed. Talent scouts need to seek out talent in more areas of the country. Not just Las Vegas, Los Angeles, or New York.

There is no better feeling!! I'm so emotionally into the performance, I'm truly at a loss for words. I want my audience to leave my show saying they have truly enjoyed a motivating experience. Attending a Musicole performance is like attending a 24 hour Party! And No one wants to be left out of a Party!!
Bring back the Record companies, Re-establish A&R divisions, Host more seminars across the country where up and coming musicians and entertainers can gain a wealth of knowledge about the music and entertainment industry not currently available them.

Not enough opportunities to expand in different career areas of the music industry. Not enough educational opportunities for up and coming musicians to grow. You inquire to named producers, artist, and or Managers about helping you get ahead in the industry. And No one will help!!! Racism is at an all time high in our industry, and No one seems to want to do anything about it!!!!
When I'm not working myself, I check out talent within my area. There have been many occasions where local musicians have asked my advice on getting ahead in this industry. I tell them, I have reached out to companies, schools in this city for the purpose of educating up and coming musicians on the music and entertainment industry. It is frowned upon big time. Which further lets me know that too much knowledge about the music industry is not going to be supported at any cost!!
Continue to work hard. Do all you can to broaden your horizons and getting your music heard, and your act seen by a larger audience.
