What is music to you? What does it give you?

I love the thrill of performing, the adoration of an audience that is appreciating your music. Singing is so much fun! I love the skills of the song writers and lyricists. who with great skill put together stories that lift your spirit and can put you in a nice place. Being an asthmatic, singing helps my control my breathing, But the biggest thrill of all is performing on a stage anywhere it is as though this is what I was born to do. Music has given me a lifelong passion, an income and it is what I am. At this moment I have discovered the thrill of recording and what it takes to be a recording engineer, I take my hat of to all of them.

What is your music dream?

To record my own album!

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Teach student in every school how to play an instrument

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

An Instrumental called "Apache" changed my life forever. A Song from Cliff Richard called "Move it" started me on an incredible journey.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

The smooth songs from the crooners, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como and Matt Munro. The electric toe tapping Rock n Roll artists, Little Richard, The Big Boppa, Elvis, Cliff Richard and Buddy Holly. The “Teenage Idols” Ricky Nelson Bobby Vee, Fankie Avalon, Neil Sedaka, Roy Orbison and not forgetting Connie Francis. I loved the fabulous girl groups, the Shirells, the Chrystals and the Supremes. The heart touching songs of tragedy, “Tell Laura I loved her”’, “Patches” “Ebony Eyes” and “Running Bear”. All the fun of Lonnie Donegan, “Does Your Chewing Gum Loose it’s flavour” and how can we forget the “Yellow Polkadot Bikini”. The great bands of the early sixties, "The Shadows" The Hollies, Gerry and The Pacemakers, The Swinging Blue Jeans and the Searchers. In latter years "Queen" "Smokie" and the "Mavericks".

What inspires you to make music?

Performing!

What is the message you want to send with your music?

If you want a lifetime of joy, learn an instrument or learn to sing. Then pass on the great music to try and heal the world.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

It is the most amazing buzz you can ever experience, nothing compares. The ultimate thrill. If you have been lucky enough to experienced it, consider yourself to be privileged, very few will get that thrill.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I truly love all styles of music, so I believe that music scene is thriving around the globe. Music always has and always will be the food of life. Long let it grow!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Nothing! Whatever the effort it is worth it!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

By always encouraging and supporting other local artists what ever their music. It is difficult to get to see other artists and bands you would like to see because you are always gigging. But we do try!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I believe that performing is 90% preparation and 10% perspiration. Performing is the fun part, the 10%. The preparation is the hours and hours of practice, learning your craft and honing your skills. learning how to market your brand,
