Matt Charleston is a singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia. He is an upcoming artist that has developed a very versatile and unique sound of Blues/Rock music, artistically fused together with funk and folk music genres. He picked up the guitar at the age of 15 after witnessing the classic scene of Marty McFly’s guitar solo in the 1980’s film ‘Back to the Future’. Matt has prominently focused on the blues since then, and immersed in the artistic works of John Mayer, B.B King, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughn. He sunk into the country music ‘life’ when he heard Keith Urbans, Kenny Chesney’s and Dierks Bentleys Songs in 2019-2020. He released his Debut Album ‘Songs for the Weekend’ on New Year’s Day, 2021, and made steady inroads in the country/rock genre. He took the time to work on his vocals in following his album release that year during the global Covid-19 Pandemic. In doing so, he released singles ‘Crazy’ and ‘I Want to be Like You’, followed up by an EP titled: ‘Home’, featuring soul stirring folk songs about love, the struggle in finding a balance with music and regular life. Since then he has delved deep into his blues/rock roots, released the Album 'Unify.'. Matt has shared the stage with Nick Marcus and Elysa V, displaying his Rhythm and Blues prowess with his Fender Stratocaster.

I feel that the reality is, not everyone will be heard by a majority. Its the lucky few. To improve it: you can't. Just work it.
