It´s my life line and most loyal friend . It´s not something I do, but something I am . It gives me hope in the disturbing times we live in . It also gives me anonymity or freedom as I try not to identify myself with any specific genre to allow myself to be totally willing to experience it and let it take me somewhere. I listen to music even more than I play it .
Simply to make anyone´s day a little brighter.
I´d get rid of all the weapons and give the power seats to only women.

Pure escapism from mundane life routines and people who need to be right instead of kind
That it is totally still worthwhile to actually play and practice an instrument and anything in life that requires dilignece is worth doing .it´s an investment in yourself !
alive and hopeful
I see more and more exciting new talent in many genres , but sadly musicians have to work a lot harder to make a living. They have to tour more. It´s seems a little sad to me that in this digital age we can learn about artists in a flash , but it doesn´t necessarily mean that it helps them so much . I really wonder if streaming sites work against musicians. I love to actually buy recordings of musicians who have worked diligently on their craft for years and have come up with their own material and sound - it´s seems the least I could do if it moves me .
It´s seems to be a very interesting place to hang out . I like how many different places there are here ! I could spend hours here!
When I´m playing a difficult classical piece and someone starts talking to me or starts humming along not even aware of how much they are distacting me - as if my mind wasn´t already divided on many simltaneous fundamental tasks . Also , when they break the respectable space bubble. I can´t stand it when I go out ot see an artist I like and the audience talks while they are playing - the concept of ¨Concert Etiquette ¨is more and more non-existent these days . Platforms like SOFAR sounds are changing this , so I guess there is hope ! It kind of bothers me when I hear people boast and say, ¨I listen to everything!¨ when harmonically speaking they may not be aware of just how narrow their ¨everything¨actually is .There is of course a place for every kind of music and I do like some of the simplest music very much . I know that might seem a little harsh , but it´s how I feel.
Not really I attend and occaional open mic , but as an American in Madrid I have my doubts as to how much my lyrics are actually understood and sometimes get discouraged because of it . I work hard on my lyrics. On the other hand I suppose it´s good in that it makes me more cognizant of other aspects of performance I need to stay focused on.
They should be able to deliver the goods well under any situation and be ok with uncertainty at any moment - I have never had a gig that went the way I thought it was going to go . Perservance is so important and of course being very savy about social media helps these days . Realize that even if you are have a bad music day that others may not see you the way you see yourself . I think it´s really imortant to be yourself as an artist - work on what you do well to créate your own sound . For example people like Sting or Adele everyone would recognize in a second. Regardless if I like an artist or not , I really admire anyone has come up with their own sound ! I think it speaks louder for you and could be a surer route to stablizing a career and a loyal following if such a thing exists . I have my doubts that playing covers get you anywhere if you want to gain followers
