Litost is Joe Laramore, John Rackowski & Matt Smith. Together, the trio write, record & engineer their music at each of their home studios in Wisconsin & Nevada.
Music is a form of art that has the power to unite people from all different backgrounds and can provide so many different ways to connect with a song. The past, the present and future feelings can be applied to nearly any song.
Litost was born from an urge to give the listener something to relate to... to put feelings and thoughts on display that aren't comfortable to bring up. We want to encourage people through our music that it's okay to be flawed, to be human.
Our message and mission is to get people to talk to one another. In the age of social media, there is a life you portray and put out for everyone to see and then there is the things that people don't see. We want people to remember to pay attention to not just their strengths, not also their weaknesses... and if you are going through a battle, you don't have to go through it alone.
John owns & operates "Wisconsin Rocks" which is a local music promotion entity for rock, hard rock and metal bands. We do everything from curating Spotify playlists to designing album artwork to mastering songs in our home studios. Our goal is to show the world there is phenomenal music coming out of the Badger State.
