What is music to you? What does it give you?

Dale: Music gives me a resonance and connection with energy. It can control my moods, it can energize me, relax me, motivate me, or be an outlet for anger.

What is your music dream?

Dale: I don't have one anymore; that ship sailed long ago. But I would like to get back on stage somewhere and knock out some power riffs and see a few punters moshing in front of us!

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Dale: Not the most memorable, but definitely one that resonated right through me and still brings back memories; Save A Prayer by Duran Duran

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Dale: I just don't have any favourites, but if I had to name 5 that would sit at the top of the pile they'd be: Rammstein Foo Fighters Testament Nerina Pallot Ludovico Einaudi

What inspires you to make music?

Dale: Dreams, soundbites from adverts, my poetry...many things. I get 'surges of urges' to pick up the guitar and create either unusual melodies or jaw breaking riffs!

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Dale: No message (and that's not me being pretentious). I rarely ever write anything with a political or religious agenda.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Dale: Nervous at first, then after the 1st song I just hack into it!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Dale: Scrap digital downloads and bring back CDs and Vinyl! And pay the songwriters what they are entitled to instead of publishers creaming off most of the profit!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Dale: Never being able to play my guitar loud enough, never being able to spend days at a time recording, never having the money to buy more gear!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Dale: The ability to understand and manipulate social media....sadly!

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Dale: Me!
