What is music to you? What does it give you?

Nothing compares to the release I get when it’s just me and a set of decks or me and keyboard and computer. I had heard people say that music is a therapy but never really realised that until I started to properly focus on it myself. It can get you through some of the hardest times in life and can help you celebrate some of the highest moments in life. This view takes a step Further when you are playing music, when I am DJing and playing shows there is a feeling that you can’t describe, it’s like no other but all I can say it is the best feeling ever.

What is your music dream?

To be playing in front of thousands at festivals around the world is the obvious dream, but to be honest the real dream is being a musician full time and making a life out of it. Making people happy or just giving them a feeling that responds and relates to them when they hear my music, thats the real dream.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Would have to be giving everyone an equal chance in the world, I work closely with a company called Electroneum and they are trying to do this, to allow people in developing countries work their way out of poverty nd give them a chance to really make a diffeecne to their own lives.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Thats a difficult one, but it would have to be I Beleive I Can Fly - R Kelly, the childhood karaoke song.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Right now it would have to be the likes of Carl Cox, Solomun, black Coffee, Patrick Topping, Fisher, Illyus and Barrientos, Solardo and Camelphat. There is also the stuff i listen to outside my genre like Drake, Migos, Khalid, Martin Garrix, Avicii, Chris Brown and yes i'll admit it im a little bit partial to some Bieber.

What inspires you to make music?

I first got introduced to the word of music at a very young age. With my Dad, Chris Gorman, owning studios, producing music and playing live through the 90’s, music was an everyday part of life. This obviously passed on from my Dad to me as I knew from a young age that I always wanted to have a career in the music industry so i ess the answe to that is my Dad has always inspired me to make music and to also keep working until you succeed.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

With my music, I just want people to enjoy it, for them to get a good feel from it and not be able to sit still when its being played, that's the real goal with it.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

as i said before, when I am DJing and playing shows there is a feeling that you can’t describe, it’s like no other but all I can say it is the best feeling ever. It really is a therapy, it can get you through the hard times but can also bring you the best times and best feelings.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I see musicians living their dreams and making an impact in the best way they know how to. Music can be improved by sticking to making quality stuff either lyrically or performance wise. The way the house genre is going is really promising, ts getting bigger every day with more festivals and shows incorporating it into theevents. It is looking good for the future.

What do you think of Drooble?

It is different and encourage people to support other people's music whilst promoting yours. I like where it is going.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Frankly my number one frustration is living my life on social media. I am not against it but if you are not on social media and constantly working IG or twitter, you'll never be noticed. Alongside this is the way it is going with steaming. I love the ideea of streaming and the ease of getting your music to people that streaming has opened up but it is making it difficult to survive in the industry.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

My number one way of supporting my local scene is trying my hardest to work with local talent, supporting local shows and stations and at the most hyping up the scene where ever i am.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

The biggest thing is do not release until your sound is aligned with what you want and you are making grade A records from whereever it is you produce and record. I'm not saying go pay for a commercial space and pay for mixing and mastering etc but just make sure you arent trying to push somthing that isnt real qualty music. Thasts the biggest thing to me, i have about 100 unreleased tracks in my catalogue of which maybe 5% are good enough quality to be released. On that note also make sure you finish tracks, dont leave it and start another or you will end up with a huge catalogue that you cant use.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Brodie Barclay, his vocals are diffirent and really cool sounding and just amazing to be honest along with his songwriting he will end up going somwhere, you will hear him on a few tracks ill be releasing this year. Block and Crown, The remix work they do is out of this world, hit after hit they are really good, almost every set ive recorded or played has included one or more of ther tracks
