What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music brings me to all kinds of emotional places and literally physical places. Music has calmed me after I have been stressed, it has amped me up before a football game. Music has also brought me to different cities and into intimate celebrations like weddings. Lastly, music has given me a way to express my thoughts, and on stage, it feels so comfortable like a home, and to be vein, it allows me to feel like an all-star!

What is your music dream?

I want to write songs that I never get bored of or tired of playing or hearing over any amount of time. I want my songs to be heard! I would love to sell a song to an artist that has a solid following, or write a song for myself or my band that gets a significant number of listeners that enjoy the song.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Universal Basic Income! As someone who majored in Economics at the University of Kansas and loves to read about finance, poverty - anything economics, I think that is the solution to lowering the poverty rate or getting rid of poverty all together. It would cost a lot, it would require change & understanding, but I believe that would change any country that implemented a policy of UBI!

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Piano Man! First song I learned where I was able to play chords and the melody at the same time.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Tom Petty, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Eric Church, The Head and the Heart, The Avett Brothers to name a few!
