Kevin Wilson

Story

A native of the Missouri Ozarks, Kevin Wilson has been visualizing his musical concept since his youth. Influenced by the Blues, the British Invasion, County, Folk, Blue Grass, and Classic Rock, Kevin crosses multiple genres to deeply touch him and hopefully others. He attempts to tell important stories of God, his country, loved ones, and friends; leaving himself to write or play just one more song that might quench his thirst and craving to create timeless music. He performs no cover songs as all of his material is originally arranged and composed by the artist himself. He plays the following instruments for all of his music: rhythm/lead guitar, lap steel guitar, vocals, bass, mandolin, banjo, and harmonica.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Depends on the venue but often relieved that the music is flowing out of me. Like a safety valve ready to explode. Perhaps, a desperation that people are enjoying my work.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

A rediscovery and emphasis on the joy of music. When I was young, music was the ultimate source of entertainment.
