What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music to me is all about having fun & express yourself. Looking for people to jam (& maybe get the odd gig with) to share, create & learn something new!

What is your music dream?

To do a full on worldwide tour playing drums in a band

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I'd eliminate poverty, give access to clean water to everyone & make education a right, not a privilege

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

A Little Less Conversation - Elvis x JXL. Dad is a massive Elvis fan & always had it on in the car. I later found out that legendary studio musician Hal Blaine drummed on it.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I've got an eclectic palate that covers blues, rock, jazz, jazz fusion, rnb. Some of my favourites include Led Zep, Dave Brubeck Quartet, The Roots, Grover Washington, Roy Ayers. (I'll definitely kick myself for missing some more)

What inspires you to make music?

Hearing others play & listening to different styles I havent heard before or not as familiar with

What is the message you want to send with your music?

That I'm enjoying myself, being creative & working well with my fellow musicians

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I'm not a seasoned pro at playing in front of audiences, I still get nerves. It's something I'm keen to improve

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It's a shame that learning a craft such as drums, piano, guitar, etc isn't quite enough to make a career from anymore. I think record labels should invest more into instrumentalists, but due to margins it's unlikely that will change

What do you think of Drooble?

I'm not sure yet im new to it

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Being stuck in lockdown and not being able to play with others.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I try to listen to local or upcoming artists - some of my favourites would be Connor Selby & Rival Karma

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

They should understand how to promote themselves via social media & they should be fantastic musicians (I would guess - I cannot say from experience)

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Connor Selby & Rival Karma (Although I think they've got a big following actually)
