What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is a means by which we decorate time and express ourselves where words fail us; it is the color of the air and it moves us on a cellular level. It is both how we get lost, and how we find ourselves.

What is your music dream?

I'd like to put my passion into something meaningful, and create music with like-minded people just to appreciate the beauty of it all.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I'd bring back the idea of sponsorship of the arts by aristocrats and the elite. In the olden days, royalty would hire artists just to compete and one-up the other. This would allow for much more freedom and time to be spent with the arts themselves. Also, please give me a free bedroom in a castle.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Placebo's The Bitter End was always my jam growing up, but I'd turn on Slayer when I wanted to be a crazy kid.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

There are too many to choose from, so I'll list a few borne of various tastes: - Animals As Leaders - Meshuggah - Vildhjarta - Lantlos - Alcest - Leonora Post Punk - Molchat Doma

What inspires you to make music?

Life and Suffering, and everything between the trees and the stars.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I would strive to be a peddler of dreamscapes, and offer less travelled roads to those who are suffocating.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Nervous, but exhilarated. Not sure I'll ever master that absolute rush.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

We are too critical of one another, and use cancel-culture as a strongarm tool to weed out the competition in an underhanded way. Music should never be about backstabbing, or tying beliefs in with the music - it should be about experiencing what humans can create, and about what brings us together.

What do you think of Drooble?

I like how engaging the site itself is so far, let's see about the community!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Not being able to find compatible minds easily near me - I live in a more musically isolated region and really have to go out of my way to find bandmates. This of course results in me just doing solo work.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I do when I can, the metal shows here are great when they do happen and it's always nice to see the connections you can make come crawling out of the woodwork.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

To actively avoid copying anyone else and to create their own experience in just being themselves.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
