Allomerus - Music with Progressive Intent

Allomerus is a band consisting of brothers John and Paul Wegner who have been making music for a long time. With the advent of the internet, the possibility of writing music and distributing it around the world, has enabled us to dedicate our time to our first love of Progressive Rock. In Australia, Progressive Rock has a small but dedicated audience who are passionate, like us, about the possibilities of Prog and taking it in whatever direction we like. We have 6 albums, all available from Bandcamp. When writing new music we like to be adventurous while keeping a link to the heritage of Progressive Rock and it’s traditions! Allomerus: John Wegner: Guitar, Guitar Synthesizer, bass, Synths and Vocals. Paul Wegner: Acoustic and Electronic Drums, Percussion. We are keen to use new technologies as well as real instruments and as such use iPads and the fabulous apps available to enhance our music. We also use a Roland guitar synth for, amongst other sounds, saxophone and trombone. Paul has also used Electronic drums and percussion to replicate the sounds of various kits. Why should guitarists have all the fun!
