What is music to you? What does it give you?

I don't think there's much I can say without diving too much into Cliche City, but music is my essence; it's the best and most natural way that I can relate to the rest of the world. It's a language that everyone speaks, and an energy source that connects people. Music is my gateway to the rest of the universe; all's I have to do is tap into that inspiration and just be sure to not get in my own way. I think I'm at my happiest when I'm creating with others; it's such a cool gift to be able to create something to share with the world!

What is your music dream?

If I can just create, collaborate, travel and perform without having to worry about where the next rent check is going to come from, well I'd be just about the happiest clam in the sea.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

If I had a magic wand that could grant me anything, I'd have to go with racial harmony. People get pissed at each other for the dumbest things, instead of looking at the possibilities of everything we could create by working together.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Hmmm, probably Aneurysm by Nirvana. That thing blew my mind. The power those 3 guys had together was immeasurable, but at the same time, the simplicity of their tunes was equally inspiring, and made me think for the first time, 'huh; I'm pretty sure I can do that.'

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

The Beatles, Nirvana, Metallica, Prince, Grimes, Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, Hans Zimmer, Alan Menken, Mozart, Beethoven, etc. etc. the list stretches on into the endless void of eternity

What inspires you to make music?

The idea that maybe something I create will bring joy, inspiration, hope or comfort to someone else is a pretty big motivator. Other than that, making music is just the most fun thing I can do!
