I grew up listening to Bob Dylan, Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead. Later, I started to listen to Gordon Lightfoot, Leo Kottke and Gordon Bok. I also count as one of my big influences The Grateful Dead.
Music is how I express the inner workings of my soul. Not every song I write requires words. Songs are sometimes stories, but they are also, sometimes, snapshots, brief images, brief joys.
I have dreamed in song, laughed and cried in song for almost 60 years. My "dream" is that others can understand and maybe share in the dream. Age does not really matter--it is the desire to experience that matters.

I believe we are all connected to the universe in some way; we all sharing its energy. Music simply makes it simpler to hear how that energy flows.
All of us as a species are capable of some kind of music, even though we may not think we are. To sing (or hum), to play an instrument, to write, these are all wonderful gifts to share.
