What is music to you? What does it give you?

It gives me a connection to something beyond myself that can't be named or defined, yet has a lasting and profound influence of how I feel and experience the world.

I don't know yet...

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I think we can and do change the world, all the time. It's just in very small increments, and it always starts within myself.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Probably the album by the Incredible String Band - The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter - There's nothing else like it, and if there is, then please let me know :)

Aimee Man, Air, Black rebel motorcycle club, Boards of Canada, Camel, Cocteau Twins, Jajouka, Ladytron, Mogwai, Natural Snow Buildings, Rothko, Spacemen 3, The Fall, The Flaming Lips, This Mortal Coil, Nick Cave, Pink Floyd, The Incredible String Band, David Bowie, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Goldfrapp, Neil Young, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Sonic Youth, The Cure, The Smiths, Yo La Tengo, I could go on...

I don't know what it is, but pretty much every other day I sit down and write something. I can't imagine life without creating music.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Depends on the song, you'd have to listen to the lyrics, and even then, there's probably many layers to it...

Carrying equipment to gigs on rainy days.
