J A Jones

Drummer Turned Musician/Audio Engineer

After years of playing drums in bands in and around Sydney, I decided to set up my own recording studio, The Sound Therapy Lab. I also began playing bass and guitar and have recorded a few tracks with positive response. I have also recorded other musicians. I'm now at a point where I would like to collaborate with other musicians from across the globe; that is, everybody records in their own space and time to combine the music to create entire songs. I'm sure there are people out there who would give this a go, and I'd be happy to work alongside anyone who is interested. Hope to meet cool people along the way.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

It doesn't matter if I am listening to other artists, or creating my own, music is the constant force that has run through my life. From the highs to the lows, music is the one reliable friend that is always there. Whether through rock, hiphop, metal or jazz (and many in between) music has and always will be the uplifting spirit that keeps me going. It helps me push through dark days as much as making me smile with happy sounds. Our love affair is endless, and I will always respect music in all forms for what it has given me.
