What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music to me is both an escape into a world free of stigmas, requirements, problems, and social statuses and a force for change. It is a place to ask hard questions and hopefully find answers. It is also a force that can either brighten and inspire or comfort in dark places. It is more than just a hobby for me. It is a way of life.

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to be fully sustained financially through music and to spread my songs and vision to as many people as I possibly can in this life.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would start with my own town community. If you can change how people treat others down on their luck or in bad spots and pull them out. It would change the whole mindset and keep spreading in a consistent and sustainable way.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

"Twenty-four"- Switchfoot.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Jon Foreman and his band Switchfoot are my top two. After that, it varies in many categories. Relient K, Owl City, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, One Republic, Coldplay, The Fray, Fun., and NF are just a few.

What inspires you to make music?

The many ways my life has been influenced and how music has helped me are what inspires me to make music. Music is the only force that can break through religious, political, sociological, and economic barriers and make a difference for the better. Where many other attempts try to make an impact in various ways, they all fail compared to the impact music makes

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Inspiration, Hope, and Life. I want people to be inspired to do better, to have hope in the dark times, and to be able to use my songs on their quests for meaning and hopefully find some amazing answers.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel at home, to be honest. Like I am right where I am supposed to be. In a world filled with so many directions and distractions, I am never more focused and at home than when I am performing.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It is a reality of chance, talent, business, entrepreneurial mindsets, thinking outside the box, and a lot of mystery. Musicians, like any artists, have to find their own paths and make impacts in their own ways. Some are successful at this and some are not. I think the biggest thing that coud be improved would be apprenticeship programs of some sort for young musicians to learn the important things in an organized way.

What do you think of Drooble?

I don't have an opinion yet since I just started, but so far I like it.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The lack of direction and fickleness of other musicians. We are a different breed and should go with the wind in many things, but we also need to be grounded and finish what we start as well.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes. I follow and promote artists and band that I like. I also listen to any of their Spotify or music pages and try to buy tracks whenever possible. This community is definitely a community of helping each other out and I will always see it as such.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

A true love for the craft and community they are trying to reach, honesty in their lyrics, and a little bit of business and promotional know how. If you have those things you will be successful no matter how big your goal is.
