I have been writing songs on and off all my life but got back into it in a big way a few years ago, which is when I put a lot of songs on YouTube. I just thought that it was a waste if nobody ever heard them. My songs tend to be melodic and, although I am a big rock music fan, my songs tend more towards Todd Rundgren and Hall & Oates than Def Leppard and Black Sabbath. I am an average guitar player so I often supplement my lack of musicianship with the additional use of Trio for drum and bass, and Band in a Box for full band arrangements.

hearing my songs sung on the radio and performed live by a well known band. when I was younger I wanted to be the lead guitarist in that band but I will settle for the songs

i have never performed in front of an audience but at a guess I would say it would be a mixture of excitement, awe and absolute terror
it should be a state supported employment option
it seems okay so far. very encouraging
not being good enough
I went to the Y Not festival the last two years and really loved being exposed to new live music for the first time in 25 years. I even tracked down one of the bands and went to see them locally
they need to be very canny about how to gain exposure in a digital world
