Birmingham, West Midlands based Remote/Mobile Recording, Mixing and Mastering Studio. Specialising in Rock and Heavy Metal Music Productions. A personal service where we actually care about your music and the experience you have creating it. GFC Studios is run by engineer/producer James Cooke, who has played in bands for over 10 years and has vast experience on the recording and live circuit, always being involved in the production process in some way. What inspires you to make music?

A burning passion deep within my soul!

Whatever the artist wants to convey to their listeners.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Energetic, in a daze, like I am part of an amazing community.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

The understanding that it is a genuine career path and should not be frowned upon.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Overpriced, soulless "pro" recording studios.

Go to gigs, share their music, buy releases and merch.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I think Marketing and Crowd Funding play a massive role in the digital age.
