Forest Hills is a rock band formed by Zero Surico and Jack Burton in New York City. Forest Hills combines gothic melodies with rap, screaming, heavy guitars, and progressive drums to create a twist on the rock genre that's never been heard before. We've only uploaded a couple of our songs to this site, but we hope you check out our music on any other major platform, and give us a follow on social media!
Music is a universal language and an experience with endless potential. Music gives us the power and ability to communicate with people of all backgrounds, in all locations across the world, in a way that would otherwise be impossible.
Our dream is to continue growing and improving as a band and to inspire and help those with our music. Our music is there to prove that you are not alone, no matter where you are. Outside of the obvious dreams all bands share, like touring the world and playing shows, Forest Hills wants to make a difference on an individual level. We care about each and every one of our fans.
Acceptance. Much (possibly even most) of the world's problems come from conflicts where one or both sides cannot accept each other, or come to meet halfway. By improving the acceptance of the fact that we are all endlessly diverse (a.k.a. Human), the world will inevitably change for the better.
Zero (Frontman): Holiday, Green Day Jack (Drummer): Beethoven's 5th Symphony
We love many bands ranging in genres from alternative rock, to punk, metal, pop, and more!
The drive to make a difference in peoples' lives, and improve them in any way that we can.
We want to send a motivational message. We want our listeners to know that we've been through rough times and devastation but were able to find our way out of it and find a glimpse of hope even during the darkest times. If we could do it, so can you. We are living proof.
We always love seeing our fans at our shows, and putting on a great performance for all of them. It feels very fulfilling.
With an ever-changing digital society where new apps come out by the minute and free music is available instantaneously, it is becoming more and more difficult for artists to survive off their craft. Streams hardly pull in any money, and although we aren't just in it for that, we need to be able to pay bills and survive in order to keep creating our art. The industry can improve by creating new and better ways for the public to still have easy access to our music, while also enabling artists to have a greater potential for more consistent and substantial income.
Seems pretty cool!
People who aren't serious about the commitments they make.
We always try to incorporate local bands and acts into our live shows, regardless of where they are located. We also make sure to help spread the word about shows and other events that bands we know of are hosting!
Determination and friendliness. Don't give up on your music just because you haven't become an overnight success, and don't lash out at potential fans because they aren't running to buy all of your material. Be humble and friendly, but never give up.
Forest Hills !
