Esteban began his studies at age 11 with Gustavo Ottaviani, and his musical debut was at age 15 in the under / off circuit. At age 20 he began his career as a professional musician, joining “Bajo Suelo” (a tribute to Joaquin Sabina) and “Soul to Soul” (Cover Rock Band) touring around Buenos Aires. He was offered a contract with the Julian Aguirre Consevartory Orchestra to play a composition of Hernan Lechuga and Monica Martin (Conductors of the Orchestra). At the same time, music gave him the opportunity to work with Willy Crook, Fabiana Cantilo, Deborah Dixon. In 2006 he joined “LA BRASIL” and “Pornophonic” (soul band), he toured the Atlantic cicuit in Buenos aires, 2007 gave him the opportunity to be the opening act for Luis Salinas, creating a very large friendship with J. Morelli (drummer for Luis Salinas, All Jarreau, Spinetta, etc), this tight relationship with Morelli has grown into the professional arena where Rotunno often replaces him in different projects and gigs. In 2007 “LA BRASIL” participates in the “Federación Jazz Festival” (Entre Rios, Argentina). He also appears in the 2007 Pepsi Music Festival in Buenos Aires with Chala Rasta (reggae band). In 2009 he becomes musical director and arranger for LA BRASIL (www.labrasil.com.ar). Currently working on several projects, Luis Salinas (latin funk), Josi Dias (Brasil), Paul Dourge Quartet (Jazz/fusion), Matias Natale (Pop), Pornophonic (soul, r & b, funk), LA BRASIL (Brazilian popular music), The Djavanera (tribute to Djavan), works as drumming arranger and records for MUSIC FACTORY PROD. Worked in Barcelona in 2007 and 2008 during the “FESTA MAIOR Festival” in Granollers, Mataró, Barcelona, Arenys de Mar, Marselle. Rotunno is now planning his third summer European tour, with Deryck Santos, brazzilian guitar player. They will performing in different countries and venues around Europe (Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Belgium, London, to name a few). Artists he has worked with: Luis Salinas, Andres Ciro, Paul Dourge, Javier Lozano, Alejandro Tula, John Valentino, Paul Markovsky, Bernardo Monk, Federico Arbia, Osvaldo Suarez, Marcelo Mira, Tulio Molina, Juanse, Paulinho Nunnes, Brother Bastos, Chala Rasta , Fasu Kanu, Paul Plebs, Willy Crook, Fabiana Cantilo, Deborah Dixon, Valentino, Pocho Lapouble, No Square (Switzerland), Daniel Maza (Uruguay), Julia Zenko, Kiki Ferreira (Brasil) , Abel Rogantini, Gonzalo Aloras, Alfredo Remus, Matias Natale, German Barcelo, Pablo Porcceli. He’s Currently endorsed by SOULTONE cymbals. During 2013 he's working as sessionist in europe, and had played with Gary Willys, Armand Sabbal Eco (Alejandro Sanz bass player), Max Valldeneu, Patán Vidal, among others. He´d worked with MARIA CREUZA, one of the most recognized brazilian singers of all times. He's working as session drummer and giving private lessons. Rotunno can cover and perform mainly all styles. But specializes in Brazilian music, r&b, funk, hip hop, neo soul, soul, acid jazz.
