Bio

Eric Vera (born October 28, 1992) is a Melodic Instrumental Rock Guitarist and Multi-Instrumentalist. He started playing Bass Guitar at age 9 motivated by Sir Paul McCartney's "Back in The U.S." video, then moved to Guitar at age 13 inspired by Blues legends like; Eric Clapton, SRV, Joe Satriani, John Mayer, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Andy Timmons and many more. Since 2008 he's been perfoming here and there supporting local bands, old classmates projects by Playing guest Guitar Solos on recordings and writing music for his friends' Short Films. Graduated from INBA in July 2012, he started recording his musical ideas at his Home Studio. By 2013 had his Demo tape entitled "Music Act" available for streaming on YouTube, he throwed a concert "On His Own" in December 2013 at a local Bar to support that Tape. What is music to you? What does it give you?

Everything. Makes me feel a lot of emotions. It's one of the coolest things in the world. Makes you feel glad to be alive. And it's easy to get through stuff with music by your side.

What is your music dream?

Have a band, play in stadiums, sold out shows. Make a living out of making music.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Education.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

"I Want To Hold Your Hand" by The Beatles and "You & I Both" by Jason Mraz.

What inspires you to make music?

Almost anything.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Peace, Love, understanding. I try to make music that anyone can relate to.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Exited, scared, powerful, weak, everything. It's pretty cool.

What do you think of Drooble?

It's a cool place to share your music, hear cool songs and meet other artists.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Lack of opportunities, people don't take you serious, they want everything for free.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I try to attend gigs in town where the are new bands playing.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Goods songs. Well written and well performed songs. That's it. And support from family and friends.
