Story

I am a singer/songwriter from Birmingham in the UK. I have taught myself to play the guitar at a young age from watching Youtube videos. I have written my own songs since I was little and it's a massive passion of mine. I have just released my debut single 'No Promises' and it has done so well already and achieved a great deal!

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my passion! I am a singer/songwriter and I have been writing my own music for as long as I can remember. I taught myself to play the guitar at a young age and I can now play a bit of the keyboard too. Music is a way for me to express myself and my emotions creatively. Writing music is like writing a diary for me. It allows me to deal with situations and to realise things that I am feeling. It's definitely like therapy.

What is your music dream?

I would love to be a well-known artist and to keep releasing music I love and am passionate about. I would love to release an EP at some point next year and to then start working on an album.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would make the world a happier and more positive place full of love. I would want people to be kind to each other and to themselves and to just enjoy life as much as possible.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

'Drops Of Jupiter' by Train (Taylor Swift's Version). Me and my cousin performed this song together at a talent competition and we won!

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Taylor Swift, Tom Odell, Lorde, Chvrvches, Olivia Rodrigo, The Veronicas.

What inspires you to make music?

So many things inspire me. Life experiences, people, conversations, nature and so on. I love to express myself creatively and this is the best way to do it for me.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I want people to be able to relate to the lyrics of my music and to not feel alone in their emotions. My songs are based off of my real life experiences and they're really honest. So I want people to not be afraid to express how they feel and for them to know that all emotions are valid.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I don't have a great deal of experience performing in front of an audience, but when I do, I feel amazing. I am doing what I love and what I am passionate about.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

There are so many more people becoming musicians so the market is overflowing. Sales are also not as high as they used to be as more people stream/download music instead of buying a tangible CD. So I think we need to try our hardest to support artists as much as we can and to give them love and positivity. We should advertise buying CD's and Merch more to help artists.

What do you think of Drooble?

I think Drooble is a great way for musicians to promote their music and to get great feedback. It's also a good platform to find new artists and musicians.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

I would say getting my music out there and heard is the hardest part, as it's difficult to know where to start.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I am definitely a big supporter. I buy physical CD's & Merch and I also attend many concerts/events.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I think musicians should be original and authentic. Listeners will relate and become a fan if the artist is honest and not afraid to be vulnerable. I think musicians also need to have will-power and to put themselves out there as much as possible.
