we'll if you're talking about kids like martin garrix etc. they did'nt seen much from Life. Legends describe the reality with their music there are feelings in every sound in every key. Music is infinite. there is a lot more to discover.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

They have to stop being like any other artist. and try to hav their own style.they should work on some quality music. best advice is, Try to listen the sound around you. Listen what Mother Earth wants to say to you through Nature.
