What is music to you? What does it give you?

I am a disabled gulf war vet and i love to write and sing my music that i create. I am soon going to be doing shows out to perform live as long as i can keep these band members. I write all my songs from the heart and most of them are about life events that i have had to deal with. But some are just fun songs that came to mind. Check out my page at www.chaoticrecords.com/donald-miclette and follow all the links from there to see all that i have completed in my lifetime as a musician.

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to be able to perform live huge venues with a famous singer. Choices would be Garth Brooks,Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, and definitely George Strait.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would tell everyone to be themselves. Most of what's going on today is peer pressure or just trying to fit in somewhere. Don't change for anyone and be yourself. If they don't like you for you then they don't need to know you at all.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Air Supply Here I Am or REO In Your Letter

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

George Strait Alan Jackson Garth Brooks Tim McGraw Brooks and Dunn Air Supply REO Speedwagon just to name a few.

What inspires you to make music?

I am a disabled Veteran and i have severe PTSD . I write and sing my music to help me cope with the issues that i brought back from the Gulf War.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Enjoy life and be yourself. Have fun with my music because life is too short.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

When I do I love it. I like to get out and mingle and sing to the crowd in the crowd.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I think Country Music has got a lot more rockier beat than it used to have. Improvements i think the radio stations should accept music from Indie artists to be able to get a start. We can't get out there without a chance.

What do you think of Drooble?

I am new to it so I can't really honestly answer that yet. From what i see i think it's a good place to get your music heard.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The costs of promoting and the promoters who only help the young ones whos parents are already paying for everything in their career. I never had anything handed to me and I had to work for it.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I dont get out much but i do every so often go check out shows at the local Casino

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I think if a musician does his or her best and they reach at least one person then they're doing good. Again indi artists need that chance to play for large audiences but with the cost of promotions it's hard to get anywhere.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
