One man team. Nicki'D (Dominic Catalan) The album art, song writing, producing, promoting and mixing is all 100% from me. Started just 1 year ago learning the in's and outs of how to do everything myself. Nobody can ever take nor ever claim any part of what I started and created because I can honestly & proudly say I did it all on my own. My music is an interpretation of what depression, loneliness, mental illness, anger, sadness, and any type of negative feelings that I undergo on a daily basis may look like. This is how I cope with all these negative feelings. 26 years old 5 times I have been arrested & incarcerated Recovering drug addict 9 times I have overdosed & flatlined Been homeless countless times Expelled 8th & 12th grade Diagnosed severe depression & anxiety Music has always been a strong suit for me. Picked up the drum sticks when I was 15 & also discovered Metal (Slipknot). Played in many Deathcore bands & just now recently been months without playing/practicing due to living situations. Just this last year I lost the love of my life & just got out of jail with a ankle monitor on & no where to go. Luckily my friend Steven took me in. With only a couple pairs of clothes and my laptop, reality started to sink in and the unexplained painful thoughts & feelings started to become unbearable. I knew that I needed a healthy way to cope with all this. So what I did was put pen to paper and wrote for hours and hours on end. Reading what I wrote back to myself I noticed how incredible it all turned out. Long story short I downloaded a random beat, plugged in my headphones and pressed record on Audacity. After that first song I knew from that I had a gift and talent that I would not waste. Thus I present to you Nicki'D. ??
It gives me purpose and is also a coping skill for me when I am going through problems especially inside.
To become famous but the number 1 reason is for people to relate and feel the music I put out.
