Distonart Mastering

Story

Started out as a musicians (guitarplayer) in local bands. Gradually shifted my interest toward the studio and recording, mixing and eventually got a passion for mastering. This led me to get a degree in audio and also working as a livesound engineer.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is all about vibe and communication. Perfection in music is boring. Its the details and nuances of a human beeing that makes music special and original.

What is your music dream?

To keep working with all the amazing muscians out there and help them realize their musical potential. My way of doing that is to help make their music sounding the very best it possibly can.

More party - Less conflict

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Another day in paradise - Phil Collins

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

To many to mention! seriously, as a mastering engineer you get to work with all kinds of music and that is really what makes this gig so exciting because you never know what will turn up. But having a broad musical taste really helps!

What inspires you to make music?

Listening to vinyl records

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I would like them to get payed more royalties for start! Also more venues for livegigs would be nice to see.

What do you think of Drooble?

Seems like a perfect place to connect with likeminded people that devote their life to music!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

They should be able to adapt their way of working to the business. One example would be to only release singles instead of full EP/ albums to always have something new to promote to their fanbase!
