Deviant Grey was formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during late 2020. The band consists of musicians Ian Greene and Terry Engelman both of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Originally the group formed to record some cover songs such as "Them Bones" and "Godsmack" from the band Alice In Chains under the project name Metal Forge Alliance. This soon morphed into a collaboration to write new original songs shortly after the death of Terry's friend, mentor and previous bandmate, Frank Caratelli. "Ossuary" became the first single released from the band in early 2021 with hopes to complete an albums worth of material in the coming year.
