I have Been interested in Music since my Teens, Formed and joined many bands in my youth, spent fortunes on gear and demos and trailed around London talking to every A&R man That would listen, and wouldnt change any of it great times with great friends, performed in clubs professionally for over fifteen years, Guitar wise it has taken a long time, self taught and with the attention span of a gold fish, I would play but never practice, later in life I started to enjoy the practice and slowly saw the improvement, but always loved the instrument
Music is a way of expressing my life, all those suppressed emotions, that are hard to vocalize, but also my getaway, when Im playing the whole world just melts away until there is just me and my guitar, I may not be the best, it may not be the greatest but it is and means the world to me.
To play on a huge stage with outstanding musicians
I would if I could make sure that everyone had enough to eat, 2018 now there should not be poverty!
The first time I seriously got in to music it was the era of Glam Rock so something by Wizard or Slade or The Sweet, I go with Ballroom Blitz by the Sweet>
Changes all the time, Happy to say I am still discovering bands and artists, current Favorites are The Winery Dogs and Ritchie Kotzen, Phil X and the Drills Slash and Miles Kennedy, and the River Dogs.
With so much music on line here and via stream its hard to stay uninspired
Nothing deep just have a good time, be nice to one another, enjoy life.
Dont perform live so much now a days , but in the past I loved the stage, not so much the constant travel and set up and break down, but the bit in the middle was pure magic
The reality is its hard work to be a pro musician, time has changed it, technology has changed it, but it has always been hard, if it were easy every one would do it, In my youth I spent my weekends visiting A& R with demo tapes, yep Cassettes ,,,, remember those? now we up load to a service provider and hope to get noticed, I am fortunate that now I do this for the fun of it and dont require it to be commercial or a success
Great site, people do search and listen to the music and thats what artists really want, someone to listen!
