From the darkest depths of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, England, came the unmistakable fuzzy noise of Fuzz and the Felts in 2019. The lockdown of 2020 hit hard and whereas band life as we knew it came to a stuttering halt, Stephen Potter and Simon Bailey from FATF had a surge of creativeness flowing through their veins and Das Kapitans was born. A combination of influences from Fugazi, The Spits, The Melvins, Sonic Youth, Graham Coxon, Joy Division creates a punk, post punk, lo-fi, garage punk, acoustic, electronic feast. Das Kapitans have released a number of E.Ps and singles over the past 12 months and 2021 sees them embarking on an ambitious project of 12 full albums in 12 months. The first album released at the start of January, Joulukuu is available to download on Bandcamp and will be available across all streaming services. Album number two, titled ‘#2’ will be released February 1st across all platforms.
